Serena — Inspirational Speaker, Author & Advocate

Serena is an inspirational speaker, author, and advocate who empowers individuals living with prolactinoma, chronic health conditions and life’s challenges. Through authenticity, faith, and resilience, she uses her story to inspire others to find hope in the midst of adversity.

After facing a life-changing health diagnosis, Serena embarked on a five-year journey filled with challenges, uncertainty, and perseverance. Rather than allowing adversity to define her, she chose to transform her pain into purpose — becoming a voice for those who often feel unseen, unheard and discouraged.

Serena turned her pain into purpose by writing her recent book release Surviving Prolactinoma, where she opens up about her personal health journey, sharing the emotional, physical, and spiritual realities of living with prolactinoma. She has been recognized as an Outstanding Achiever through the Jack Petchey
Foundation programme and has shared her story with one of the world’s largest media companies. She has appeared on podcasts, collaborated with health professionals across the UK, and has been featured in the Pituitary Magazine.

Today, Serena shares her testimony across faith communities, charitable organisations, online platforms, podcasts, and public events, empowering audiences to rise above adversity with courage, strength, and faith.

What is prolactinoma?
A prolactinoma is a non-cancerous tumour of the pituitary gland that causes the body to produce excessive levels of prolactin — a hormone responsible for milk production.

For many individuals, living with prolactinoma can be physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging. Serena’s story shines a light on the realities of this condition while offering hope to those navigating their own journey.

When I look back at one of the hardest seasons of my life, being diagnosed with prolactinoma and having brain surgery to remove the tumour — I never thought I would make it through to the other side, let alone write a book.”
